The Department specializes in teaching and research of art works embodying different kinds of art forms. It aims to foster talented students who possess attainment of Chinese culture and art, as well as to explore education of Chinese modern art. Guided by research and painting practices with all kinds of materials, the programs attach great importance to the comparison and research between basic theories of Chinese and Western painting and new modeling contents so as to break the boundaries of painting genres and widen the range of paintings with all kinds of materials and diversity of art forms.
