Located at the Nanshan Campus, the School of Fine Arts houses the most renowned programs in traditional Chinese and Western art in China. The School was designated by the state government as a key program area. Program areas include Theories of Fine Arts (Chinese Art History, Architectural Design and Art Theories), Painting (Chinese Painting, Calligraphy, Oil Painting, Engraving), Sculpture and New Media. There are eight departments under its jurisdiction:
