The Joint Graduate Study of Fine Art which is founded on the basis of cooperation between China Academy of Art and Berlin Art University, Germany began to recruit 40 to 50 postgraduate students in its first year in China Academy of Art, Hangzhou, China, on June 1, 2006.

This is a degree study program with a five-stage structure of two and half years of full time study. In the first, second, third and fifth stages, the students study in China Academy and in the forth stage, the students study in Berlin Art University, Germany. Alongside the art majors, the course simultaneously offers German language study. Graduates will be awarded Master of Arts by Berlin Art University.

We consider each application on its merits and look for evidence of commitment and motivation through selection days and interview. We welcome your application if you have already achieved B. A. degree in your own country. We value the diversity of applicants from all countries, backgrounds and cultures.

2.      Non-refundable application fee of $USD50

3.      Portfolio (20 pieces)

If submitting original work, please label the back of each piece with your full name.

If your works are sculptures or installations, you can submit their photos but please label the back of each piece with your full name.

If your works are new media, please submit a 15--minute long CD work.

You need also submit two of your passport-size photos with your full name on the back.

Closing date for receipt of application is June 15, 2006. Late applications can only be considered if places remain available.
