At the beginning of this term, teachers and students of Department of art history and theories received a big gift ---- the collected papers about ¡°The History of Chinese Art in the 20th Century¡± course: ¡°History and Fact in art¡± has been published by Si Chuan Art Press.
¡°History and Fact in art¡± was compiled by the papers that were written by 2003, 2004¡¯s undergraduate students of Department of art history and theories. The papers were about ¡°The History of Chinese Art in the 20th Century¡± course, which was held by teacher Lu Peng.
¡°History and Fact in art ¡±was formed by two volumes. The publication this time was about the research papers in 1900-1949,and the rest (1950-1999) would be finished in this term. After publishing the ¡°Volume II¡±, the two parts will form into a full literature of Chinese art history about the past 100 years.
The subjects of the papers were selected by the principle: instructed by teachers and selected by students. During the paper writing the teacher Lu Peng made some strict requests in order to make the students not only lay the foundation, but also know the rules of paper writing, and gain publishing experience in addition. This made them more at ease to produce their graduate papers or to do some research about art history.
