On the afternoon of May 19th, sketch works by the students of Print-making Department 2004 were exhibited in the show windows of Print-making Department, in the No. 3 Building. All of these 300 or so pieces of works were produced during the time when these students paid a trip to Wuyuan, Jiangxi Province.
These works with different themes and skills, embody the unique scene and buildings there. They all created their work with feeling, which show their unique styles.
Exhibited works show the picturesque scenery and the spirit of Wuyuan. Tall gingko trees, running stream with bridges over it, lake with emerald colored water, elegant cabins of Ming and Qing Dynasty, remote byways, sparkling fields, fading sunshine, and the smoke from kitchen chimneys all embody the folkways of the local people.
This exhibition showed students¡¯ basic skills in sketching inspired students and revealed the level of their previous teaching. Teachers all agree that all the students did a better job than last year; and they believe that, through this exhibition, the students will make a huge progress.
